We are excited to announce that in addition to taking clients through Calver and Associates, Jade will be working with the Innovation Cluster in Peterborough as an Expert in Residence for the Start-up Visa Program, starting with its initial cohort in February 2021.
Jade has handled many Start-up Visa applications since the Start-up Visa pilot was launched and her extensive experience helping skilled workers come to Canada through various programs, including the SUV, has prepared her for this specialized role.
Canada’s Start-up Visa Program targets immigrant entrepreneurs with the skills and potential to build businesses in Canada that are innovative, can create jobs for Canadians, and can compete on a global scale. Entrepreneurs with an innovative and competitive business idea can apply to get support for your idea from a designated organization to become eligible for the SUV program and immigrate to Canada to work on their business.
The Innovation Cluster is one of only 31 designated business incubators in Canada approved to invest in or support possible start-up businesses through the Start-Up Visa Program. The Innovation Cluster supports determined, innovative entrepreneurs in the formation and growth of their technology-driven companies. With a focus on four key sectors: clean technology, agriculture technology, digital technology, and healthcare technology, the Innovation Cluster’s programming ensures that startups find their best path to market.
