What is the OINP International Student Job Offer Stream?
The OINP International Student Job Offer Stream is designed to help employers in Ontario recruit international students. It's part of the Employer Job Offer category of the OINP, which allows employers to fill skilled positions that they are unable to fill domestically.
What are the requirements for the candidate?
To be eligible for the International Student Job Offer Stream, the candidate must:
Have a job offer for a full-time and permanent position in a skilled occupation (TEER 3 or higher) in Ontario.
Have either graduated from or met the requirements of a full-time degree or diploma program at an eligible Canadian institution.
Apply within two years of receiving their degree or diploma or in the last semester of completing their studies.
Have legal status in Canada (if currently residing in Canada).
What are the requirements for the employer?
The employer offering the job must:
Have been in active business for at least three years.
Have business premises in Ontario where the applicant will work.
Demonstrate a revenue of at least $1,000,000 if located in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) or $500,000 if outside the GTA.
Have at least five permanent full-time employees if located in the GTA, or three if outside the GTA.

How does the Process Work?
You must first submit your Expression of Interest online to the OINP. The province conducts regular draws, and those with the highest points are invited to submit an application. You then have 14 days to submit the documents to the province.
Processing Times Post-Submission and Costs:
The average processing time is between 60 to 90 days for the provincial nomination to be issued by the province after you submit your application. Once you have a nomination certificate, you then apply to the Federal government for Permanent Residency, this process take about 1.5 years.
As far as fees, OINP application fee for the International Student Job Offer Stream is CAD $1,500. This fee does not include additional costs such as language tests, educational credential assessments, or legal representation fees if you choose to hire an immigration consultant. The Federal fees for an application are $1365CAD per adult.
